Members of our local community network.

The Hope Inclusion Project is comprised of local service organizations, community leaders, and community members committed to standing up against oppression.

The Hope Inclusion Project is a member of the Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network.

The Network consists of 36 member organizations operating in more than 50 communities throughout BC.

The Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network is bringing British Columbians together to address racism and hate through education and action. Their website offers information to people who are targeted by racism or hate, and resources for others wanting to learn more. Find a book to read, a video to watch, a class to take or people to connect with in our community.

The Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network website offers a wide range of resources to support:

  • Understanding concepts of race and racism

  • Knowing one’s rights and responsibilities under the B.C.’s Human Rights Code

  • Taking action when one falls victim to or witnesses an incident of racism and hate

  • Developing practical skills to stand up against racial prejudice on the streets or inequitable practices at work

  • Examining the roots of systemic racism and the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada

Community Response Protocol

Responding To An Incident of Racism or Hate in Our Community

We recognize that each person in our community has a role to play in eliminating racism and hate; from the person in a position of power, to the bystander who witnesses an incident of hate. Our Community Response Protocol is a document created for our community, by our community. The Protocol provides instructions and resources for responding to an incident of racism or hate.

  • Who to call to report an incident or crime motivated by racism or hate

  • Where to find supports for a victim or victims of incidents of racism or hate
